Aaron Eliyahu, a Jewish man, travels across India to document the history of Jews. On his journey, unfortunately, Aaron meets with a fatal motor accident that lands him in a state of coma in a hermitage somewhere in North India. By the time he reaches Mala, his hometown, he sees that his house has been converted into a post office and his properties encroached upon.
Directed by Salim Kumar, The Black Jew leans on a strong ensemble — Salim Kumar, Babu Annur, Usha — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2017.
