
Shizuka is the aristocratic wife of the president of a large company. When she wants to divorce her domineering husband, he orders his employee Yoshi, the son of an adult toy store owner, to train his wife to become sexually submissive.
Directed by Masaru Konuma, Flower & Snake leans on a strong ensemble — Naomi Tani, Nagatoshi Sakamoto, Kiyoshi Abe — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about thriller titles of 1974.
