It all starts with a harmless game of tag in the woods. A group of friends celebrate victory and defeat in a clearing. But a simple argument between a boy and a girl ends disastrously. The enraged boy drags the girl into the woods, beats her up, and kills her brutally. Little by little, he kills each of his friends who try to track him down.
Directed by Jens Wolf, A Bad Day leans on a strong ensemble — Sandra Holzinger, Kristian Gamilec, Daniel Gamilec — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about action titles of 1999.
