About Aux portes de Paris
A local man raised two boys. One is his son and the other is that of a rich industrialist, to get the bonus to the unhappy father, he gives his own son a lazy scoundrel, to the tearful father and decides to keep the other boy, but the truth does not soon to burst.
Directed by Jacques de Baroncelli, Charles Barrois, Aux portes de Paris leans on a strong ensemble — Josette Day, Armand Bernard, Gaby Morlay — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1935.
